When the Judgement Bell Does Ring   Year: 2005

Written by Bill Mallonee for CyBrenJoJosh (BMI)

yeah i love those politicians and the platforms they espouse
sooner or later there's a cowboy in every white house
though the wind blows through your coat and the cold pierces everything
one day every hole gonna be filled up when the judgement bell does ring

faces are a bit more anxious and sad than they ever used to be
every soul's worn out like an old pair of shoes from the miles that living brings
what you used to do with all your heart takes a little more push it seems
and one day that push gonna come to shove when the judgement bell does ring

God bless those on the up and up and hallow their daily grind
God bless those so down on their luck that they can't see the good sunshine
we're God's gold but we're far too proud waiting to shine and be seen
one day the dross gonna be burned out when the judgement bell does ring

who knows how the balances will weigh the souls of broken man
put back in some kindness with the labors of your hands
disease will flee and we'll bend the knee and hearts will begin to sing
every tear be wiped away when the judgement bell does ring

Did You Know?

Bill says he wrote this song while traveling through West Virginia.
